Winding down after a super few days in Italy - a birthday gift from my better half. It was superb. It was also my first outing with the Lumix GF2, which is amazing and recommended. Seen above is a wooden chap from the door of the Basilica of Santa Croce, but I also uploaded a handful of other shots to my Flickr.

Here in can it be mine, it’s not easy to come across dark photos. I’m shallow like that, can it be mine has a very pale and pastel feeling to it.
Anyways, with the new theme arriving, I feel more free to post decoration photos with darker colors.
This one for instance I couldn’t resist. The whole concept is mesmerizing and very unique. Makes you feel nostalgic and romantic don’t you think?
Enough yabbing. Now some facts:
This house on an island looks straight out of a fairy tale. And 79 year old Boston Architect Henry Wood gets to call it his home. In 1961, Wood and his then wife, Joan bought the island home for a mere $3,600!!!
Situated on Rhode Island’s Narragansett Bay in US, the house was built by Architect J.S. Lovering Wharton along with Artist William Trost Richards. The island home stands three storeys high, with a large centre hall and 23 rooms. The spacious house has its interiors done in wood keeping with the design of the original home. The house has 10 huge bedrooms, and it would be hard to find one without a view. (Well on cleaning day you get to clean one of the 65 windows!)
Can it please please be mine? I can hire help to clean the windows too.
